据新浪科技报道：在.cn为了推销推出1块钱域名很火的时候，VeriSign将从今年10月15日起，.com域名的批发价将由原先的6美元涨至6.42美元，涨幅7%；.Net域名批发价则由3.50美元涨至3.85美元，涨幅10%。VeriSign称此举是为预防新一轮计算机攻击及提高管理效率，今后3年中将投资1亿美元用于基础设施升级。这项名为Titan的工程完工后，将使VeriSign系统带宽由每秒20GB提高到每秒200GB以上。
目前国内.com、.net的价格一般在55-70元左右价格不等，万网等服务商的价格更高，要130元一年。
这个涨价应该国内.com、.net域名的没啥影响，原因有二：
1、按照提价，域名注册商还是有利润空间；
2、人民币升值。
